Megan White
Megan White grew up in the beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. At the age of 9 she joined the Annapolis Branch of the Canadian Pony Club and began her competitive career. With her focus on Hunters and Equitation, Dressage and Eventing came secondary. Megan developed a classic style and was constantly in the ribbons in Junior Equitation and Pony Hunters. Progressing to horses Megan took over the ride on her mothers TB/Arab/Hackney cross and really began to excel in Eventing. Representing Nova Scotia and Canada on many occasions she began to travel North America competing coast to coast.
After studying Biology at Acadia University, Megan decided to follow her passion to compete and travel and trained in Colorado, New Jersey, Florida, Arizona, California and Ontario under the tutelage of such Eventing stars as Karen and David O’Connor, Jimmy Wofford, Lorraine Laframboise and Garry Roque, among others.
Some highlights of Megan’s career include 2000 Canadian Equestrian of the Year, Twice selected as NS Equestrian Federation Female Athlete of the Year. Twice selected as Sport NS Female Athlete of the Month for all sports. Twice representing Canada at the North American Young Riders Championships. Captain of the Canadian Inter-Pacific Games Silver Medal Team. Recipient of numerous year end awards in several provinces and states.
Now based out of Nova Scotia, Megan continues to compete at the upper levels of Eventing while cultivating a growing clientele of horses and riders in the Maritimes. She maintains the position of design consultant for White Horse Stalls, a custom builder of Premium Equestrian Stable Systems, while training and competing in Nova Scotia during the summer months and wintering in Ocala, Florida.
